Local Council

The Local Council consists of the Executive and members elected at the AGM. The Executive Team generally meets virtually monthly or on an as-needed basis. The local council meets virtually every 4-6 weeks for 1-2 hours during the academic year.

    Jennifer Kirby
    Responsible for providing memorial donations for bereavement as well as flowers or edible arrangements for members off with illness. Can take anywhere from 1-4 hours/month. See Benevolent Fund in the FAQ section.

  • Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Liaison

    Tanya Rollins
    Responsible for bringing all health and safety issues from our members to the Joint Workplace SHSC. Sits on the committee so our voice is heard and follows up with anything brought forward. Reports to the membership about what the JWSHSC is doing.

    On executive and attends PE meetings as Local 038 representative.

  • Worksite Contacts

    Receive information from AUPE for discussion at the worksite(s). They also provide member feedback to AUPE.
